Why I am Saying Goodbye / myLot

I love myLot, don't get me wrong, but after much consideration I realise I need to leave. I didn't want those people I've known for a long time to worry about what may have happened to me, so I've dropped back in, after several days absence, to say goodbye. The writing of my book has reached a crucial point where I need to work a lot harder on it than I have over the last few months. When I thought about where I could create more time for myself in my day, the answer was immediately obvious. So, to all my wonderful friends here, I've chosen to close this chapter of my life and move forward. I know I am doing the right thing for myself. Thank you for your friendship and support. Some of you will always be in my heart. But, for now, it needs to be goodbye.

I will continue to hope that in a time when your book is completed and your life feels less stressed, one day when you realize there is a emptiness that real people can't fill, that you will return to your virtual friends and we will still be here.

It's interesting that you said this, because my being on the B site is what spurred me into completing and publishing my novel. I don't think I would have done it, if I hadn't been on the B site. I felt obligated to push forward and get it done. j If you have a time crunch, which I didn't, I can see your point though. Take care.

I don't think any of us will fault you for doing what you need to do to complete that project, Val. It's a huge undertaking, and I think we all know exactly how much of a distraction myLot can be.

I hope the writing goes well for you. If you ever decide you need a break from it, don't hesitate to stop on by for a bit. We'll be here.

Well this is certainly a surprise. I've not been here a whole lot, so I happened to run across this post while moseying about just now. When you find you're held up by getting stuff done because of writing on mylot or other similar ventures, we/you need to do what's right for yourself. At least in keeping your page here, you can come for a visit whenever you get your book finished and want to have a break or something.
