Finding my older posts and editing them for others to read - They are all my own europeAL travel blogs. Good Morning to everyone - Kalimera!! Yes writing about my adventures of our journey to Greece , and for the next few days you might find yourself planning your own trip. Who would ever have thought that we would get the opportunity to drive in Mykonos? Planning this surprise excursion for my hubby was kind of sneaky - I booked and paid for it without his knowledge because I was hoping he would be overwhelmed at the idea of driving on European soil as i had been when driving in Spain and Ireland. All I had to do is make sure that he had his drivers licence with him which was not too difficult because the Ship Excursion Master made us carry them for identification purposes on tour, just in case we bumped into any problematic formalities. Our Ship , NCL Spirit, was the second to arrive in Mykonos and so it anchored just outside the port in full view of the beautiful Island . We were ferried in by the local Island commuter operators which was a bonus for all of us as we did not have to pay. We were excited - we had waited 2 years for this visit . . . . . Mykonos and Greece was our dream destination on this holiday, and here we were! The ferry's took us to the Mykonos Harbour while the others were being ferried to the Mykonos Marina . . . my hubby was looking a little concerned but all too soon he got a feeling we were doing something different. Our tour operator fetched us with a bus and only 16 passengers of the whole ship were taken to this car park location where our vehicles for the day awaited us. If you have watched the TV show "Amazing Race" . . it was almost like that . . . our 4x4 vehicles each had a number and we had our number in an envelope!! EXCITING - beyond exciting!! My hubby was smiling from ear to ear . . he gave me one look and said "Gee this is going to be Fantastic" and no truer words were spoken. Keys were in the cars, in we got and away we went . . . Mykonos was being toured! My Bub post was - Lany 9 September 2014 - 4X4 driving in Mykonos but now it's myLot post edited today with an added Youtube for your entertainment.

Greece is a fascinating country and I really enjoyed my trip there. Of course it would be better if they had a few less mosquitoes.

@Inlemay Mosquitoes seem to love me. I cannot imagine why because the feeling is certainly not mutual.
