So I Fell Out Of The Bus Today....

I have no idea why but sometimes my left ankle will get weak and I will fall over haha.
I was hoping it would stop doing it since it's the main foot I use when I'm dancing. ( not professional dancing, just a hobby I have when I'm home alone ) Just thought it would become stronger. It has been randomly making me roll my ankle since I was about 12.
So today when I was coming home from my boyfriends, I was about to get off the bus but once again my ankle got weak so I fell out of the bus. Not sure if anyone saw but I quickly got up to walk away because I was so embarrassed. It isn't in any major pain but it is hurting a bit which is what happens every time this happens.
Have you ever fallen or done something to hurt yourself and felt stupid or embarrassed about it? Why do we feel embarrassed about it anyway?

I am clumsy and unbalanced. When I walk I knock several things out on my way. So yeah that is part of my life now. As is being embarrassed but I ignore it. lol

Are you serious? I thought you are describing me...lol. I hate these purses...you gotta pull out things...there has to be some reason god brought men in lives of women...in whichever relationship. I hate opening the purse, hate even pulling out cell.....lol ..I hate that chunni thing Porridge..the moment I am in car, off it comes and on backseat it goes...so glad non-chunni thing has come..that is one thing that makes me clumsy...seriously fashion designers got to think a different way of wearing that...

@Daljinder Did she really have to say anything though? Geez!
Is this the same story you told me once? I remember saying there was an incident on the road but I don't recall you falling. I think with this one, the person had only hit your leg?

@VivaLaDani13 I once fell in the middle of the road while crossing it. There was heavy traffic and the road wasn't empty and I fell because I had collided with a bicycle. I hurriedly got up and was about to walk away (or disappear) this lady comes up to me and said 'it was your fault'. I didn;t say anything but internally I was like 'Really? Did I look like I am going to blame anyone? I wanted to just leave as fast as I can. Because I knew that I should have been looking the other way too to avoid that bicycle.'

I have met couple of couple of road accidents during college days. But I never done something to hurt myself. Never faced such a situation ever in my life.

My right arm got a dislocation when I was 5 years old ,I showed my Chinese kongfu (just use my legs to climb the wall),finally I fell down and I felt nothing.but after an hour my right arm could not move and I felt painful. And when I was 10 ,the same thing came to greet me again,my right arm was dislocated by throwing a stone!

@Daljinder
On the scale of 1 to 10, how did it feel dislocating it? And then having it popped back in?

I have weak ankles too. I hope someday I can strengthen them. A lot of times I step wrong and fall. Never fell out of a bus before though.

@VivaLaDani13 I actually asked that question on a message board on a fitness site called Sparkpeople. They said to do a balancing pose like a flamingo. You first stand barefoot on a rolled up towel then gradually work up to a balancing board.
The balancing pose looks like the yoga pose warrior three.

@JESSY3236 I haven't heard of that before but I would love to give that a go! I will check that site out as well! Thanks for telling me. I hope that or something else like that can help your ankles!

haha well I am actually glad he wasn't there to see me fall. I would be even more embarrassed. I remember last year I was walking down his stairs but I fell because of my stupid ankle so I fell down the last 2 steps lol He saw it. He was very helpful but I still felt stupid.

That is true. But in this case I wasn't sitting down very long. In fact I had walked for like 40 minutes before I got on the bus.

My ankle will sometimes do what I call buckling. Basically my foot turns on it's side, and yeah it can be quite embarrassing. I've also had situations where a knee just spazzes on me, buckling.
I'm a clumsy person but luckily it rarely results in falls. Did you trip out of bus because of your ankle tripping you up? I can only imagine how embarrassed you were. I would have sped out of there quickly.

Well actually that sounds more like what happens to my foot. My foot will turn on its side so I fall down. I am not sure if that is the same as rolling it or spraining it. I really don't know the technical words for it but what you described is very much like it.
Yeah like I was on the step waiting for the bus to stop, then just before I took a step down it rolled ( or whatever it did ) so I fell out onto the grass haha
When I quickly got up I was saying to myself "oh my god bus drive away drive away now."

@VivaLaDani13 Atleast no one offered to help or asked if you were ok. I know they are just trying to be nice, but that's even more mortifying in my opinion.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I actually really agree with you there! If I had hurt myself so badly that I couldn't get up then I would have loved some assistance but since I was still capable of walking, I had to get away quick smart.
