No it wasn't one of the many set tos that occurred on Dynasty. It was a solar coronal mass ejection. It was one of the largest geomagnetic storms every recorded. The "white light flare" that was associated with this storm, when it hit Earth's magnetosphere, was recorded when observed by English astronomer Richard C. Carrington and Richard Hodgson. It transpired over a period from August 28th and September 2nd in 1859. This happened when the sun created spot we could actually see in our hemisphere. These are called auroras or even better known as "The Northern Lights". These can only be seen in the Northern part of the hemisphere when the sun is tilted on its axis and the magnetic field becomes distorted. There are actually only certain time and places during the years that these can be viewed. But on these particular three days all of that changed. In Africa, Hawaii, even Australia the auroras were seen from anywhere. In the Rocky Mountains people even thought it was daylight because the light was so bright. It stopped telegraph usage in Europe and North America.

When a girl says she wants to be friends with benefits, I always ask if that includes dental insurance.

That doesn't have anything to do with the subject here.
