How does one upload a picture?

I just posted about Hawaii and attempted to upload a picture but it did not take or I do not think that it did. How does one upload pictures to a discussion? I may try again after I post this.

Along with getting the size right, don't forget to hit the upload button once you've selected the pic.

I did all that and it seemed to upload but I think the picture is too big. I am going to re-size and then try again.

You need to make the photo smaller so that you are able to upload to Mylot discussion.

I did make the photo smaller and it did post. Success. Interestingly enough, I tried to post the same pic on cruise critic but was told the pic was too small. It is difficult to keep up with the requirements of each and every site.
