Investing in trees and livestock is one of the best investments for those in the countryside. Even if you are living in the city, you can invest in trees and livestock through your relatives in the countryside. Farming is not a low-cost business. Farming is a labor intensive, and capital intensive business. You need to lock up your capital because you have to buy the saplings, seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and good quality livestock. After that, you have to wait for months before you can profit from it. Even though many farmers lose money, there is no doubt that the world needs farmers. The world population is getting bigger and bigger, and there is a huge demand for food.

Farming is certainly a labour intensive business but it is nice working in the open air and knowing you are producing food for people.

Yes, that must be a nice feeling. Since my country is basically just a city, I do not have the satisfaction of farming. I have to travel out of country in order to see the countryside, and farmers working there.
