Small Town Bumper Stickers Offer Wisdom

I was reading the bumper stickers in my town the other day in the store, and even though a lot of it was redneck banter such as "Missing: wife and dog. Reward for dog." Some of it was true. Such as the government's motto: "If it ain't broke, fix it until it is!"
Isn't that how it is? They try to 'fix' things, but really they are saying it, breaking it, and convincing you it's your fault so they need to raise taxes to make it better. I don't understand why we put up with it any more.

My father got in an accident with his car when he was in high school and the engine had to be replaced, and it was really terrible. He put a bumper sticker on it that read: "Constipated: Can't Pass a Thing."
The principal called him to the office the one day and told him to turn the car around because he was tired of seeing that all day.

That might be one of the reasons Trump is so popular in the polls right now! Americans are fed up with government, and Trump is not afraid to stand up and say what many Americans are thinking. It's such a shame that the American people feel all of our politicians have failed us, that we truly do not have a representative voice in our government anymore. Maybe we do need a major shakeup in Washington! The system is broke, and it needs some major fixing! Maybe we need to put a redneck up in the White House, because they sure are good at fixing things!

...and I'm not trying to make fun of or belittle rednecks! It was a compliment in disguise saying they could fix things, because they are hard-working, honest, tell-it-like-it-is kind of people.

It happened that way because we allow it to be that way. We vote for the people recruiting office.

However, we're given terrible choices and each one leads to a bad direction. No one good sits in the office. This is like saying "why do I drive a terrible car and put up with it?" Well if their options are between a bad car and a terrible car, their situation is unlikely to improve.

We have a choice. The voice of the people has weight to it that the government should fear. It's just that we don't work together to oppose what's not right.
