Shades of pink!

I received a text message from our clinical coordinator last Thursday that we must attend the first general assembly for the second semester. Instructions were: we have to be in school at 2:30PM, and we should wear pink as inner shirt.
We can use blazer and white pants every Friday, so I chose the very light pink blouse, which is soft and cottony. There are 3 other blouses- green, blue, and yellow. I bought these blouses in Kuwait, 1988. I gave the blouses to my sister; she used them in Kuwait, but when she came home ahead of me, she set aside the blouses and gave them back to me. I use them every Friday, but pink is the uniform so if you check the picture, the three of us have different shades of pink.
We went home at 7:30PM. It was a long assembly, and before the activity ended there were some gifts given out. I am so unlucky I did not receive any. I saw the gifts anyway, and I thought, “Never mind, I can have those in time”. Driving in a dark highway was also my anxiety, but I had a colleague with me; yes, the lady in stripes.
The giveaways are mugs, photo albums, place mats, napkin holder, etc, etc.
I smiled.
What kinds of things have you received as giveaways?

@ridingbet Not really and that's ok, there is really nothing I want. Well ok I want a new lens for my camera, it's what my husband is getting me for Christmas.

I remember when I had an interview and the interviewer asked what color do I hate. I said pink. It's good she did not notice that I was wearing a pink blouse. Haha! Or she noticed but didn't bother to ask anymore.

pretty photo. Sorry you never got any of the gifts. I often get free pens, notepads, and for some reason, flash drive data sticks at job fairs

really? When we get mugs as tokens or gifts, we keep them and we do not give them as gifts to other persons. I believe you have more mugs, right?

My husband and I have also received mugs, flashlights, tote bags and things like that when we have attended conferences.

flashlights are a necessity now, but there are flashlights that are disposable; with just a few use, the battery gets drained/ Tote bags are wonderful to have. that is good.

good there are mugs now. When I was in my elementary years, the most common gifts given in Kris Kringle was a box of Curly Tops,hand towel, the Good morning towellette, or ballpens, Bic.

I had the car gasolined with P500, and I was given a mug and a calendar for 2016. as usual mugs again.

I think those are the most gifts they give, right? My late mother had also some playing card but we cannot play with them. Souvenirs, that was what she often told us.

You all look lovely in your pink and white :-). Sorry you did not get any gifts. It is good you had a colleague to drive with you, especially at night. I have received small jars of cream, small soaps and then the usual pens as giveaways.
