Pumpkin's positive post: Good Weekend then Cuddles and a Good Film

Good evening friends, I hope you are all well. I've had my rant today, and now I'm going to talk about all the good things. On Saturday, I stayed with D (my boyfriend), as I usually do. Mini (the little dude) stayed too. We've been watching Doctor Who, but that wasn't on so we watched some other stuff. Well, I say 'other stuff', we watched older episodes of Doctor Who :) Then on Sunday (yesterday), I had a bit of a lie in, as D always makes sure I do when I can. He and Mini played some computer things and watched Animaniacs together. I was hoping to go to D's parents' but they weren't available. I wanted them to meet the boys as they haven't done yet. So the original plan was to see D's parents yesterday, then take the boys to a book farm. Well, we didn't see D's parents but we did go to the book farm. It was nice for the four of us to spend the time together. D spends a fair bit of time with Mini but not so much with Midi. Well, we bough a few books between us, then we finished off with a drink and cake in their coffee shop. I had a piece of chocolate cake. D had a piece of chocolate shortbread. The boys said they didn't want any food but they shared my chocolate cake with me as it was huge! Once we got back to D's, I had a quick nap while the three of them watched more Animaniacs. Then I took Midi to his Dad, and I took Mini to his rehearsal. I picked him up early though as he'd curled up and fallen asleep there. He'd been a bit grumpy. He had a nap at home and was OK after that. He also helped me clear all the junk out of the car. That junk is now in bags all over the landing! Today, I dropped off the boys at school, then I took the car to the garage, As D lives nearer to the garage than I do, I went to his. He'd usually come over to us for dinner on a Monday but I'd said I'd go there after dropping off the car instead of him coming later. So, I stayed at D's for a couple of hours until the garage called. D asked me to choose a film I'd like to watch on Wednesday (because that's 'date night', and he suggested I choose a film to watch each time). Well, he then asked how long I had got today. I said I wasn't in a rush, so we watched the one I'd chosen today. It was a film called 'Gothika'. I asked him what it was about. He told me, and I thought I would like it. I did. While we were watching it, we had cuddles on his settee. I put a blanket over me. It's a white microfibre blanket which D bought for me because I get cold and he doesn't. He said he thought it was the best purchase he's ever made! So, as we were cuddling, I put my feet up on him. He took my socks off and rubbed my feet. He's lovely like that. He knows I like my feet being touched. He also said that it helps him, and that my foot is like a stress ball for his hand. So it's a win-win! I then had a call from the garage to tell me the bad news about my car, but I decided to leave it with them and hopefully it'll get sorted before Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, I got all the presents wrapped. I usually enjoy wrapping presents but I think I got a bit stressed with them this time! I thought, maybe, it was because there were so many there but there aren't that many! I'm hoping to go out for a drink before Christmas. I thought it would be nice to go with D, and with Dorypanda and Mr. Panda, and Teenpanda and his girlfriend. It's just a matter of sorting out an evening when everyone is available. It's not too bad for most of us, but two of them work different shifts in places which don't close for Christmas. Oh yes, I'm off work too! Yay! I didn't mention in my rant, I forgot, but the agency called me this morning. I ignored them because I've booked this week off as holiday. It made sense, what with not knowing what was happening with the car, and having to use my holiday up before January. So, as I didn't answer, I don't know what they wanted but I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted me to work. I won't talk about that here though, this is a positive place! Tonight, I've watched Heroes: Reborn with Midi. We were going to watch some Star Wars but he went in the bath and we're all going to have an early night. Tomorrow, I am going to get on with some study. I will get my assignment done, at least in draft form, before the end of the week. As I told D, I am proud of myself for sticking to it for so long. The work, itself, has sometimes been challenging, but the most challenging thing for me has been focusing on the same subject for five years! I can't usually focus on the same thing for more than five minutes! Well, I am tired now so I shall say good night. Sweet dreams/good morning/afternoon/whatever time of day it is where you are :)
