The family I am staying with in the Marquesas has a beautiful garden with a lot of flowers and trees. They have 7 Moringa trees growing in their yard. This morning around 7 AM the mother brought me a giant pitcher of Moringa tea to drink.
The leaves from this tree are amazing. I know people in India understand this tree and the health benefits it has. It is the first time I have been introduced to this tree and all I can say it’s amazing. I haven’t had much sleep in the last 4 days because of work. But after drinking a few glasses of this tea I feel so energized.
The family uses the leaves from the tree to dry them to make tea. They also grind this up to make a powder that is used in cooking. Many nights I am brought food from the family that has a green leaf in the food. They use the fresh leaves for cooking. They are packed with so many vitamins and nutrients it is amazing.
I am basically a vegetarian and don’t like meat at all. I do eat chicken and fish and this is basically what I eat with a lot of fruits and vegetables. However, I have seen a whole new way of life here in the Marquises and it is fantastic. What surprises me the most is how much people can basically eat. Nobody here is fat at all. They say that the Moringa leaves help control body fat, fight against liver disease, cancer, and a lot of other sicknesses.
One thing I found out early this morning is all the benefits this tree has for your life and health. I had no idea that the oil from the seeds is highly sought out for making different beauty and aging products. This is a fantastic tree and I am so happy to be introduced to such a miracle tree. I had no idea what it was before or the benefits of the tree. We have a few growing in our organic garden but I didn’t know you could eat the leaves from this tree.
Wow sometime it pays to go to a different island and see a different culture. You can learn so much. I can’t wait to go back home to Tahiti and share this with my sister in law who has cancer. I think this tree is amazing. How many of you have ever heard of the Moringa tree and what great health benefits it has for your life? Check it out you’ll be amazed.

Wow that is amazing. I am learning from the family here all the health benefits of this leaf. It is fantastic and amazing how it can basically rebuild your cells and cure so many illnesses. I think now I have a new eye opener and can't wait to go back home and start picking the leaves on the trees we have there. I will dry them out for tea and use some in my daily cooking. You can really feel a difference in your health eating this and drinking the tea. I know they make a juice from the Moringa but so far I haven't tried this one yet. They say it is delicious and I do want to give it a try.

@SIMPLYD I did watch her just add this at the end to different foods she was cooking. She would prepare he food in a giant wok and just before serving it take several giant hand fulls of the fresh leaves and add it to the wok. After she would stir this for a few minutes and serve it. Didn't seem like it took very long to cook this at all.

@SIMPLYD I do have to agree. I have been eating different dishes she makes with this and they are amazing. The other night she brought me some sort of rice with the moringa lives in it and topped with coconut milk. It was delicious and so tasty. She loves to brew me moringa tea and bring it to me when I'm working here. She says I need my energy to do all this and I don't get enough sleep.

I just learned this myself. You dry the leaves and then make a tea from them. Here the mother uses the leaves after she has brewed the tea to make a facial for her face. She uses these leaves mixed with some rice flour and baking soda and a little moringa oil to make a paste to apply on her face. She leaves it on for about an hour and then washes it off. If you saw her you would never guess her age. She is 78 years old and you would swear she is no more than 50. She is so active and uses moringa to drink and eat in her diet. I think this tree is excellent for your health and a wonderful tree to grow in your yard.

In Africa now I read that they control diabetic with this tea. The tree or leaves can control a person'g sugar levels and help them maintain a healthy life without shots all the time. It is amazing what you can do with the leaves. It is said you can put the leaves on your head to relieve stress and they can be applied to your skin to get rid of cuts and heal you faster. I saw a site early this morning that I spent several hours on reading and watching some videos about this tree. I have been here a few days and the mother keeps me drinking this all the time to keep up my strength and stay away fro long hours so I can get this work done. It really gives you a lot of energy that one is for sure.

@eagletrek2 Living in big cities there is no chance to have a garden or place to grow anything at all.

Check out the link here in this discussion. I know if you want you can order some of this online. If you live in certain countries the trees can easily be grown in your back yard. Just grow them up so tall and cut them down. Within 50 days they will be back again with a lot more leaves to make more tea and food with.

Regarding moringa I have planted also. Now planted more than 10 plants. Every 3 months I collect the leaves for sale. We fry the young leaves with eggs. The old leaves drying for green tea and also into powder.
The seeds are demand in the market and can be eaten 2 to 3 seeds a day. The Indian cook the young drum sticks (pod) with curry, giving men super power.

They grow this in India. Now in Africa and some places that don't have a lot of food they are planting these trees to help give children a chance. It is like the tree of life and has so many beneficial health benefits. Just think we have 3 of them growing in our organic garden and I had no idea what to do with them. Normally we have this one person who comes to the garden and buys boxes of leaves to take with her. Now I know why. it is amazing.

Look it up it is amazing. I have the trees in my organic garden but I never knew what to do with them until now. I am happy I came to the Marquesas for work and I have learned something totally new. I know people in India and Africa know about this tree and the health benefit it has. It is so easy to grow and the leaves do smell so good when you cut them.
