If you are looking for an excellent movie to watch, look no further than Keys of the Kingdom. The story starts out with the arrival at Father Francis's home in Scotland by the Monsignor, forgive me if I got that wrong, I'm not Catholic, whose intention on arrival was to retire the aging priest. When he went to his room, he found Father Francis's journal and began reading. And thus the story begins.
This 1944 movie starring Gregory Peck as priest, Father Francis, follows his life from a young lad in Scotland, the loss of his parents, to school and on to the priesthood where he is given a mission to China.
Arriving in China, he is confronted with the hostility of the people for foreigners, the arrival of three convent sisters, and a faithful servant who served faithfully throughout his time in China.
It is a story of how a man who felt he didn't have faith enough, became the most beloved person by all he met, from the ruling Mandarin to the people of the village. It is a story of heartache and triumph.
I gave this movie a solid 5 stars.
I hope you will check it out on Netflix.
Thank you for reading

I have not watched that movie. I think the late Gregory Peck was credible in all roles he portrayed. I recall him in the original film of THE OMEN.
