Do You Like Wearing Ear Rings?

I easily have over 100 pairs of ear rings. I used to sell jewelry and ear rings were my favorite. However, my second favorite is rings. I have about 200 rings. I'm serious.
Now this jewelry is what is called "Fashion" Jewelry. It's not the real thing. It's electroplated with real gold though and rhodium.
I gave all my diamond jewelry to my daughter a long time ago.
I stocked up on some things just before I retired and I will never have to buy jewelry EVER again. I also gave a lot of my inventory to my daughter and granddaughter and to my daughters-in-law.
Selling jewelry is how I earned lots of FREE trips. Really nice all-expenses-paid vacation trips. A really nice perk.

You may be allergic to nickel which is one of the metals often used in the manufacture of jewelry. The jewelry I sold was nickel safe, meaning that even if there was nickel involved, it was coated so as not to touch your skin. Even gold jewelry has alloys like nickel added to the gold to harden it. 24 Karat gold is alloy free but is too soft to make jewelry. 18 karat gold means that it is 18 parts gold and 6 parts alloy metal which is usually nickel. I learned this from my business.

I have my lobes pierced, but I never really wear earrings. I've tried wearing studs all the time, but it bothered me when I would lay down to sleep. They would poke me!

Some people do, some people don't. I don't feel completely dressed without ear rings. I even keep some in my car, in case I leave in a hurry and forget to put them on, which is RARE.

Yes, I literally sold millions of dollars worth of jewelry over a 35+ year career with that company. I was also a top recruiter of new sales people. I really enjoyed my job. We called it a "YOB." meaning Your Own Business, since I was self-employed. I worked for the trips and got a nice paycheck every week. Most people work for the paycheck and don't get FREE trips.
