Taking a Break to Work on the Pillows

With 8 days left before Christmas, I need to set myLot aside for now and work on my pillows so they will be ready in time for Christmas - non-existing Christmas emoticon here - So I will return when I finish the pillow I'm working on, started yesterday. I did figure out while I was working on it last night there is an easier way to do it than I'm doing it for this first one, so after this one is finished, I'll do it the easy way and I should have all nine ready in time for Christmas. I was also thinking about using the fabric to make potpourri sachets. Mom's sewing basket has lots of laces I can use to tie them up with. I just need to get a bag of potpourri.

Santa hat, snowmen, snowflakes, Christmas trees, candy canes, anything speaking of Christmas and winter would be helpful.

I think that the potpourri sachets idea is an excellent one. Shouldn't take too long.

Thanks. We'll see if I have time to add them in. Right now I still have six pillows to go and four days to get it finished. It's going to be close. I'm hoping to get two done a day. It's taking about 5 hours per pillow. Hand stitching takes time.

I figured an easy way for pillows a long time back. buy the pillow covers with zippers and stuff. then just sew some decorations on here and there. lol. I am lazy. glad you are getting on with these so well.

I really love homemade pillows, my grandma use to make them every year for all her grand children, I really miss them gifts from her, the best gifts are the ones that are made by hand. Hope they turn out. :)

I pick lavender every year to put into bags, have one a couple for my sisters , both of whom I will see this coming week
