Introducing Myself Here at MyLot

Many of you already know me as "NatureLover" from Bubblews. I am also on the web in several place as sgbrown. As we all know, Bubblews is no more and I thought I would take a little break from writing for a while, that didn't last long, so now here I am along with many of my friends at MyLot. I hope to reconnect with my "web friends" and make new ones.
For those of you that don't know me, Hubby and I live on 40 acres in the country in Southern Oklahoma and my favorite hobby is photography. I love to take nature pictures and many of my post will be about animals, places and things that have to do with nature.
I hope my posts are not only entertaining by also informative and interesting. Here is to a new writing experience and making some new friends! Cheers! :)

I do recognize your photo and have always loved your hat! I always wanted to be able to wear hats, I love them, but I just don't have the face for a hat. I am glad to see you here and look forward to visiting with you! Thank you for stopping in!

@sgbrown I have been here 4 months. I didn't get active until 2 months ago. I just was afraid that the B was going to close and it seems I was right.

I've already welcomed you Sheila, so you know how delighted I am that you are here.
It's a bit different from Bubblews in that 'stand alone' posts won't do so well here. You have to write things that people can respond to, as it's a discussion site. It's easy to adapt though. Good luck.

@sgbrown I'm an old timer here. Wrote here before Bubblews ever existed. This is my second account here. The first one went back something like eight or ten years.

@koopharper I did see where MyLot was around some years back and was "brought back to life" recently. I hope it sticks around for many years this time!

@sgbrown Post once or twice a day, interact by commenting on others posts, and reply to others comments on your posts. The more engaging your posts, the more comments and interaction they will generate, and the better for you.

Thank you, @TypicalRussian I always enjoy meeting people from other countries and learning what their lives are like. It's always amazing how much we are the same. Although I am quite sure it is much colder where you are than where I am! Is it winter there now?

@sgbrown the weather is extremely warm here for the whole month. It snows, but in 2 hours it melts. New Year is promised to be warm too (-2C)

@TypicalRussian That surprises me! I would think that Russia would be very cold this time of year. I hate to sound so ignorant, but I don't know what -2C would be in fahrenheit! LOL We have had days in the 50s and 60s and nights down into the 30s, but this is fahrenheit.

Welcome, I'm not sure I remember you from Bubblews. I too love photography and nature. My husband and I are retired and spend many hours fishing and camping. I take lots of photos while sitting in my boat. I am a huge fan of macro photography and practice that a lot.

@sgbrown I was on tsu for a short time, didn't much care for their format, this is way better. I think you will think so too. I have and will post many of my shots on myLot. I have a pretty good macro lens on my Olympus Pen. Love macro, seeing something we normally don't is awesome.

Thank you, @fishtiger! Hubby and I are semi-retired, but his hobby is dragracing. I would much rather be fishing and camping! My hobby is photography, mostly nature shots. One day I hope to get a good macro lens. Do you ever post your pictures on "tsu"? I have been doing so and making a little money there.

@fishtiger58 I liked posting my picture there, but it's hard to make more than a couple of cents per day. There is almost no conversation there and it gets boring pretty fast. I like the conversations here and it pays better too. I do wish that our pictures showed up better here. I love macro photography, but I really need a good macro lens. I just use the macro end of my zoom lens and I can't get as close as I would like.

Don't recognise the name, but do the face from the dreaded Bubble, welcome to myLot we're all here anyway... and most have had at least one payment into their Paypal account, so apart from the fact that you do actually get paid, this site is very similar and with all its' migrants.. home from home
