I am subjecting my children to all the Christmas shows mostly cartoons, that I grew up on too. I can't believe that new cartoons about Santa and Rudolph haven't came out or are not that popular. That's okay though. We are all enjoying The Year without Santa, and Rudolph. My favorite characters are the miser brothers, of course. The reason, I can sing their song to irritate my kids.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s and didn't get a TV until I was 12, whether or not they had Christmas themed toons I haven't a clue but I have noticed that I no longer find them interesting .... I guess I like those really well made toons like Ice Age or the Lion King. I wonder what I wooda liked if we'd had a TV when I was little.

That's the era my dad grew up in and I don't think there were many stations to choose from where he lived because I grew up four houses down from where he grew up and there were only about five stations we could get. Forget about cable, we lived too far into the country. Thank goodness satellite came along. Then we had the problem of the rain and wind knocking out the service.

We only had 4 stations, one was PBS but back in the 60s everything was brand new to everyone, like the Jetsons, the Flintstons or Bewitched @mommaj now there are dozens of different kinds of shows to watch. Hey, at least I can say I got to see the original ideas eh?

We watch the classics every year. My son's favorite is Rudolph, but he likes Frosty too.
We also watch newer christmas cartoons, like a Spongebob one my kids love a lot.

My kids have watched Christmas in Bikini Bottom twice today. I really think they need to find something to do. My oldest is sick so she is laying in front of the tv hopefully sleeping.
Frosty is good. I have both of them. Frosty and Frosty Returns on the dvr. Not to mention Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July. lol
