Christmas Shopping

Our washer quit on us. It was used when we got it, and we have had it repaired once. I am glad we already had Christmas with our families. Today we went to a few stores and ended up buying a new washer and dryer, with warranties. We had planned perhaps to take a little trip for Christmas, but this is what we did instead, and it is alright. We did not get a washer with a huge capacity, as there are just two of us. We got a nice Whirlpool set that should last us a good long time. It will even get a yearly tune-up as part of the deal. So today we have been Christmas shopping all day.

I had wanted to move in with new ones, but hubby was reluctant about the debt. I know there is no good time for bad news.

@GardenGerty yeah I can understand that, he was prob also worried about expenses cropping up out of nowhere...which this turned into, heh

I remember having to replace my washing machine last year. It is one of those items that I never really think about and simply take for granted, but without one the absence is very noticeable.
