I'm not dumb. I used to be a caregiver. And now the computer will blat out information by the semi truck load. Information on what? On cognitive ability. Skull marbles. Dementia. Call it what you want. Mom and I just had a giggle. She came out into the living room- darkened cause I am about to go to bed and I am trying not to bug her. I said what's up? Mom: I'm going to turn on the living room light. Its breakfast time. I said: Um, no. Its not. You just went to bed. Mom: Oh. Its 9 pm NOT 9 am. Negative on wanting a snack. Positive on getting undressed and going to bed.

Dementia is funny sometimes isn't it. My mom could be as clear as a bell one minute and looney tunes the next. She is beyond talking a lot these days, a few words here and there but still sometimes I just can't figure out what exactly she is thinking.

@bellestarr That is hard and probably in my future. Years ago I visited a lady who was almost my Grandmother. She was then living in a facility. Dear Doris did not know me or much of anything else. Somehow or other the place was allowing her to keep her Baby cat. I was glad of that.
