The Office’s Christmas Party

So, last Friday, December 19 , we had our Christmas party .
Everyone was in their best formal wear . Some of the guys were in their coat and tie while 2 of the girls were in gowns while the rest are in their cocktail dresses and two of us were in pants .
Anyway , some of the catered foods were not good because two dishes were bit tough to eat .
The venue was small . We didn’t get to dance because there was no dance floor .
Some of the guys were at the videoke room while we were having program because there was two rooms allotted for the party .
Overall though , it was not a very enjoyable party . Though , I was happy because I won a prize , as you can see in the picture .
Have you had your Christmas party at the office or with your friends already ? How was it too ?

@SIMPLYD I was invited to the Christmas party of my previous employment last year, despite having been retired 5 months by that time. Unfortunately I had already booked to fly to Tenerife and would not be in England at the time.
They may have decided that this year is a little too long after I had retired, but it may be that they assumed that I would be away again.

Indeed , when one isn't working anymore these office parties will be no more .
But you know , my mother-n-law has been since retired yet she always attends a Christmas party on December . That is for the senior citizen organization and she always look forward to it each year .

It's always The HRD because that's their job . Well, actually we haven't tried this year's caterer . The menu was delicious when we chose it . But the dish itself wasn't cooked deliciously .
By 10:00 p.m. we were done with the party . Some went to the other room where there is videoke and most are the men drinking . Yaiks .

@hereandthere There were no available big rooms anymore . We don't want to spend much for a venue alone and what we have at the mall are open ones .

@SIMPLYD no, I am waiting for the gift I got from the Christmas party in school. I gave our dean a table organizer, and the bag where I placed the gift is already a gift.

I am sure that was during the times when you were working . When we are working for sure we will be attending such party .

I have not been to an office Christmas party since 2006. We rented a local VFW center (Veteran's of Foreign Wars) and it had a bar, dance floor, karoke, pool tables and it was really fun. We had lots of families with kids there but no one really did any drinking so it was very family oriented. The employees with kids left early and the singles/couples stayed longer. The place did not close down until 2 am so the ones who stayed enjoyed the relaxed non-kid side of things.

That was a nice kind of Christmas party because the employees' kids were there also .
These kind of parties is a welcome treat to all the employees actually .

Hello there madame, I hope you still remember me.Well as for me, I failed to attend our Christmas party (dated Dec. 19 too) due to the heavy rainfall our area got flooded, I was not able to pass through...I attempted but failed, so I missed all the fun and the raffle....specially...

That is sad . But sometimes fortuitous events happens . Anyway , i suppose your Christmas was after all a happy one . That will more than compensate for it .

@wiLLmaH That is true . So you noticed ? Yes, i seem to have the penchant for scarves already .
I am actually contemplating of buying one or two more since i just only bought one . 
They look good on our whole dress uniform that's why since it ;s just a straight dress and having a scarf over it makes it s classical .
The rest of my 3 scarves were all gifts .

He is actually my boss . I am his EA too . I now have two bosses , the lady GM and this mall manager who is half French and half Filipino . So kind too .
