Did I commit a sin?

I had a dream last night where a nice looking guy was hugging me and I quite liked it. On getting up that dream played on my mind. I was not able to recognise that face. But tell me. Did I commit a sin because I enjoyed that hug (lol)

A dream is not a sin. Do not punish yourself.

I seldom remember mine. I sure wish I'd have a dream like that.

If you enjoyed that hug in your dream then no sin committed but if up to now you are enjoying it that is another story lol

You had a dream, its not a sin to dream no matter what it felt like. Give yourself a break and enjoy life.

In a dream it is not a sin to have them. I think if it was real life you could ask yourself this question.

When the effect of the dream gets into real life then? So in that case you feel I should ask that question to myself - some help this

@poehere The fact of the matter is that I do not know who they guy was but indeed liked that warm hug and it lingered throughout the day

@allknowing Guess this guy gave you a lasting impression. Maybe it was a deep down hidden thought that you've buried inside and this night it came to you. I've had dreams when my partner was away for long periods working on another islands. I would think he was waking me up and sitting right next to me on the bed. But no he was still gone and it was just a wishful thought.

@allknowing Maybe you just need a big hug and the dream was your subconscious giving you one.

@allknowing I don't think you sinned. I wonder if you fell asleep thinking about @ataboy . Since you two seemed to finally come to an agreement on my discussion. Maybe it was subconcious hug and you made him out to be a good looking fellow. (Yes, this a poor attempt at a joke.)

I think you have your timings wrong. We reached at an agreement much after that troubling dream!!!! Now I hope I will not get a nightmare after interacting with you

@allknowing I'm glad that the timing was off, but could you see how a person wonder? Why would you have a nightmare after interacting with me? I've been nice. I just sat on the sidelines and read your debate/discussion with @ataboy .

Being a human being is certainly not a sin. There is nothing wrong with having natural emotions, especially in a dream since it is something that you have absolutely no control over.

@allknowing If you had such thoughts consciously while awake it would still not be wrong. We cannot control how we feel or whether we have such desires. We can only control the way that we behave.

I sometimes wonder if in the course of our wakeful hours we have such thoughts not consciously though and they turn into dreams is it not then our own making?

Being that it was just a dream, I don't think it was a sin, since it was not acted upon in the real world.

As long as it does not have an effect on me when I am up I suppose it could be called a dream but what if that is not the case?

@allknowing To be honest,I too often have such sweet dreams in which I am too intimate with one of my neighbour girls.I can understand what you feel.I think it's but natural, not a sin.
