I am a 29 year old mother who is trying to find her way in the world. I like to write and Im not terrible at it Trying to find a topic and a story that I can get excited about is the problem. What type of story do you think would sell. Fantasy, horror, romance, etc.

I feel that we each have special interests. Some are good in cooking others good in feeling right or wrong, and yet others good in some gossips. Readers too have preferences. If you write about what you like and are familiar with, you will not only be able to do a good job but will also be able to integrate latest information on the subject. All the best.

Nobody can tell you what to write, you have to come up with that yourself.

Exactly. It is not as if teacher in the class is asking everybody to write about Dr. Christan Bernard.

The easiest thing is to stick with what you know. Write as if you were talking to someone you know start small and simple and go from there good luck its never an easy task.
