The Days Got Away...Frazzled!

Truly, I am frazzled, no other word for it. These last few days have gotten away from me. Between visiting family, getting the christmas tree decorated, and other decorations up, it has been something.
Add to it my dog getting heat exhaustion, and my nerves are shot! We have been, dipping her in cool baths, covering her in wet towels, giving her ice water to drink, I have been washing carpets after her, and monitoring her at night.
I think that in the last five days I have gotten about 15 hours sleep. I have lost touch with so many I care about here, and have been trying to catch up, but am, I'm afraid, not doing too well with that.
Anyway, at least the Christmas tree lights at night soothe me a little, I am sharing a pic of my Christmas tree, it was taken last year, because I wanted a reminder of how to decorate it this year, I think I have slight OCD because I like baubles and lights to be placed exactly where they were the year before. So the tree looks the same now.
I think it looks gorgeous, but, I am biased, ha ha. Anyway, I hope to have a few quieter days soon, not sure if I will, but, I hope. Are your days going to get busier, or are you able to sit and relax a bit? Have a holly jolly Christmas everyone!

that is a beautiful tree, like the one we have here. 
Ours is already vintage, but it is beeautifully adorned with colored lights, fringes,Santas, balls, and what-nots, just so the bald top will not be recognizable.

Thank you @BelleStarr :-). And yes, we have had a few days where we were 100.4F with 85% humidity. We have been carrying on with the cold baths for her and ice water to drink, and when it rains it cools a little, so we keep calling the rain, and hope all will cool a little soon.

It is a beautiful looking tree. Sorry to hear your dog is suffering at the moment. This time of year is oh so busy I really do not understand why we persist in torturing ourselves every year.

@garymarsh6 , thank you, and thank you the heat is ridiculous here, but we keep giving her ice water and cool cloths. I also do not know why we put ourselves through all the rushing around each year...:-)

There was no craziness at our house for Christmas. it was delightful and comfortable,of course with no snow its was different but the entryway was not hip deep in boots and coats either...

It is a lovely looking tree - my Christmas approach is relaxed but lots of ordinary tasks in the last few days between now and the 25th yet

@LadyDuck , thank you, we are struggling to keep her cool, and can only hope our summer will somehow turn milder. Thank you, the tree is soothing too :-). Yes, after all the rushing and planning rest and quiet is needed. I hope you and your loved ones have a Merry and Blessed Christmas, Anna.

I love your Christmas tree! Is that my present under it???? From last year?? 
How hot is it that your dog would get heat exhaustion? We have very hot weather and very high humidity but I very seldom hear of dogs having that problem!
Part of the fun of Christmas is running around like crazy!!

@GreatMartin , thank you, yes the pic is from last year, but it looks the same, as I used this pic to decorate it again :-). There was a box of chocolates there somewhere for you, but, Rudolph ate it ;-). It is the hottest summer here ever, 100.4F temps plus humidity, my dog is built for the arctic circle, so now we have to dip her in cool baths and give her water from the fridge with ice in it. Yes, I suppose the being crazy busy is part of the fun :-). Merry Christmas to you!!!!

I hope you get a quieter few days, and yes, the tree looks really amazing:). I'm probably a bit OCD too, I kinda wash my hands obsessivly;/
