I hope everyone had a good day yesterday on the 25th. This morning when I woke up we had a surprise, about 6 inches of snow on the ground and from what I understand more is headed our way. My dogs love going out and playing in the snow and had a nice treat this morning when they went out. Hope you all are recovering from yesterday and all it entailed if you celebrated Christmas. I had a nice quiet day after we had our meal as my family went to the big city to see the movie Star Wars which they said was okay but not spectacular.

Wow! You had a white Christmas! The only time I'll have a white Christmas here in Florida is if I head to the beaches on the Gulf coast side of the state and build a snowman in the pure-white sugar sand! lol

@Elizaby I guess there are definitely advantages to building "snowmen" in the sand on a beautiful beach in Florida during the winter time, but it's still not the same when you don't have the real thing (snow and cold).

@Elizaby By the way, you live in Pensacola, near one of those beautiful white sandy beaches! How far are you from the beach? It takes me about an hour and a half to go to either coast from where I am in Gainesville.

That is true and I have seen the "snowmen" built with the white sugar sand.

My crew stayed overnight and now left to do some boxing day shopping. When they get back they will head for home. Its colder here today but still no snow.

I have heard that boxing day is a Holiday and probably a good day to go shopping. Still no snow there that seems to be rather unusual. We have lots of snow overnight and it is still snowing here in Minnesota.

I am glad that we did not get any, it is definitely not my favourite kind of weather. We did get plenty of snow when I was young, but our dog would refuse to venture out in it.

Christmas was perfectly acceptable, although it just seemed like more of a chore this year. This may have to be due to the fact where I'm just getting over being sick. So, that could play no small part of my mehness during the holiday season. Still, visiting the family, and seeing them was a good thing. Everyone was doing well, which is always an encouraging thing this holiday season. Now, it's back to business as usual after the holiday insanity. So goes the cycle every year.

Glad you had a peaceful day Marcy. Those dogs are so cheery and love the snow. Yes, my son and nephew said the Star Wars was not fantastic too. Glad all got home safe.

Oh yes they keep wanting to go out in it and the littlest one has snow on here belly when she comes inside. lol They came home before the snow started but said it was somewhat foggy. They were not all that enthused with the new Star wars movie either.

So far it is not snowing here in Calgary . . it is cloudy though. I learned from the news on TV that Texas will be getting a foot of snow and almost 2 feet of snow for a part of New Mexico! Whew!
