I have not eaten any ice cream cake before. The last time we celebrated a birthday in office, my colleagues bought an ice cream cake. It so happened that I was on sick leave. That was unfortunate. The problem with ice cream is that you have to buy a whole cake. They do not serve a slice unlike the regular cake. If I buy a whole ice cream cake, I think I will be heartily sick of ice cream cake by the end I finish it.

@scheng1 you can buy a small ice cream cake. I haven't had one in years but I remember it as being delicious.

I have not eaten any ice cream cake, too. But in the past my husband's company gave him an ice cream cake for his birthday. My husband told me that it tasted so well. I can only imagine it

I think you can ask your husband to buy an ice cream cake for your birthday or the birthday of your son! Ask him to buy the better ones so that you will remember the good taste for many years.

I make my own ice cream cake using lady fingers dipped in chocolate and home made mango ice cream. Its delicious and i i have to stop myself from eating too much. I suggest you try making one for yourself so you get to experience how delicious it is or you can buy from the bakery the small size ice cream cake or sometimes called refrigerator cake thats good only for two persons to share with.

I am thinking of the one-kg type of ice cream cake, not the kind that we can buy from the supermarket. It is quite costly so I am rather hesitated to get one.

Gosh, it's been a long time since I have had an ice cream cake. I love them but they take up so much room in the freezer and are kind of expensive here.

Yes, price and size are my two greatest concern. If I were to buy a regular sized ice cream cake, I would have to budget 2 weeks of lunch money for it. Another thing is the size. Somehow i do not like the idea of defrost and then refrost.

Yeh, and the thing is...there are good icecream cakes which are well done...and, not so good ones:/. If you have a not so good one the first time, it can ruin the experience;/.

The good ones are rather costly, and it comes in one-kg size. I have to think about it through. It will burst my lunch budget for more than a week!

Where I live, the stores sell a mini cake serve for like 4 people instead of a whole cake. But I hope you'll get to experience eating an ice cream cake sometime. I love it, but definitely not enough to buy a whole cake for myself to try, hehe.

I have to see if I can get a mini cake. Many places that sell good and expensive ice cream cakes have a standard size of minimum 1 kg. I think it is too much for me!

If you have a freezer it can last a long time. Its been years since I've had ice cream cake. Sorry you were sick for your birthday.
