Pulled A Muscle From Bowling!!

I am quite embrassed to admit that I think I pulled muscle after my game of bowling yesterday! I must not be as fit as I thought I was as I woke up with an aching arm and pulled muscle in my left thigh LOL. It was worth it though as we all had a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed it although as they are quite young they did lose interest and wanted to go walkabouts a few times. I was awful at the game and came last! I even came before my I four year old nephew LOL. I will be going again soon I think as the price was reasonable as it was only £6 per adult. Have you pulled a muscle from bowling before or wake up with aching arms?

@gudheart It was and funny too, I would throw the ball and grab my butt. Everyone would laugh and say Diane pulled her butt muscle again.

10 pin or Crown Green Bowling? With 10 pin bowling pulling a muscle does happen, but nor so much with Crown Green bowling. Trouble is you can pull a muscle anywhere if you don't warm up.

@Marcyaz it is an ancient sport and may go back to the ancient Egyptians. A jack is rolled down a green (normally outdoors) and the aim is to get your balls as close as you can, the closest to the centre wins, far less exertion that 10 pin and the balls are smaller.

Never pulled a muscle doing bowling and it is because I only went a few times in my life and I was young.

If you perform any type of exercise that you haven't done in a while pulling a muscle is going to happen.

I haven't bowled in so long that I would probably need a week in bed to recover! The last time I bowled my back killed me and my right elbow was screaming too. Damn tendonitis.

At least you have not injured your back! I think you can get some ointment and rub on the aching muscles.

It will get better I am sure. I think It was because I was holding my niece a lot too as she wanted me to pick her up a few times.

I don't think so. I haven't bowled in years and then a couple years ago my daughter had her birthday party at a bowling alley, but I don't think I pulled any muscles. Of course I was in better shape then.

My niece will tell you a more painful bowling story. Her then fiancé, now husband slipped and fell while bowling, just three weeks before their wedding. He broke his leg....in three places... He came down the aisle on crutches.

Sorry to hear that you have aches and pains from bowling maybe bowling more often will help those sore muscles. Hoping you feel better soon and improve your bowling score.

Oh no! I hope you feel better. I pulled a muscle before from not stretching, it was no fun.

I can see how that could happen if you haven't been bowling in a while. You probably used muscles for bowling that you don't normally use as much. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I did wonder if that might happen. I can even guess which muscle too.

I've been bowling a few times recently with my kid clients. I haven't pulled any muscles, but I've made some awful "shots," or whatever they're called.
