After 4 years, the National Benefit Authority has come back to me to re-apply for a Disability Tax Credit from the government on my behalf. I applied four years ago and was denied but they only focused on one symptom of my illness, not the whole illness and all of the symptoms that go with fibromyalgia. Apparently, once denied my name goes back into a queue and when it comes back around they re-apply. I received an email this morning indicating that the paperwork has been sent to the government and if accepted I will get retroactive money of about $19,000. Actually, it will go to my husband because he is the one paying taxes through his paycheque. However we get it, we need it desperately. Please pray that I get accepted this time. We will then get a tax credit every year from here on out for about $7,000/year.
