Well, I am a bit late on this but here is my seven childhood memories:
1. Dancing on my Daddy's feet. He always wore boots and I would put my little feet on his boots and he would whirl me around like we were dancing.
2. Sunday dinners at my Grandparent's house. My aunt and uncle would come over after church and we would have dinner. Usually chicken and whatever else.
3. Summer at my grandparent's home was great. I had all the fruit and vegs from the garden that I wanted. Blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, pie cherries, plums, apricots, carrots, rhubarb and whatever else I saw that I liked.
4. My mother reading Tom Sawyer to me along with Sherlock Holmes. She loved to read.
5. Helping my grandfather paint the garage and part of the house. He didn't care for kids and getting him to let me help him was quite an endeavor to get him to let me.
6. Ghost Riders in the Sky. My grampa and I heard this on the radio and we were hooked. He and I would sing it every time it came on.
7. The day my grandpa passed away. He was setting in the big over stuffed chair in the living room. And at one point he just quit breathing.

Lovely memories, except for the last one. Your grandparents garden sounds great, my grandparents grew a lot of fruit and veg too. Thanks to @LoriAMoore for starting this - a lot of us are joining in now.

My grandmother always had a big garden and most of it was saved seeds from the previous year.

@LoriAMoore You are right - it's really nice to learn more about each other, and I love childhood tales.

It sounds like you enjoyed spending time with your grandfather very much, it's so sad to see them die. You've reminded me of even more childhood memories I could share. I enjoyed spending time at my grandmother's house. We spent a lot of time there during my teen years.
I decided to tag this post in the different ways other members did theirs to help us find them all. Maybe
I'll do this from now on for that reason.

@celticeagle Yes, I saw that you did, but unless you add one of the ones I listed, yours won't show up with any of the others. Course, maybe no one else is looking for more that way anyhow. I may have been the only one using the tags to find others doing the same challenge.

@celticeagle This was the same in our family. It seemed like it was always my dad who did everything with us unless he wasn't there in the US when my mom took us to go and see our grandma. Then most of the time it was go and play outside there is plenty of kids in this neighbor to go and play with. A few times a week she would take us to the ocean to go swimming but she never once got in the water with us at all.
I did this challenge and I posted mine here too. I guess mine is all about my dad and grandpa because they were the ones who did the most with me and gave me the best memories.

Great memories, the last one is very sad, but it's a fact of life. We are not here to stay we are just passing through.
