New Laptop Battery is here :)

@kevin1877uk I can remember the early days of laptops when the battery was a very expensive item. Like most computer related components batteries are not interchangeable, which is very annoying. This is quite obviously intentional on the part of the manufacturers so that we cannot keep an old battery from a previous model as a spare.

@Asylum Yeah very expensive indeed. It would be nice if they were, it would bring the price down.

Yeah I'm thinking of getting another one for the price so when I'm on my way to the States next ( I thought I had to say that lol although I don't know where I will be going ) I would have plenty of power to use my laptop.

Yeah the post does come early here than there, I was surprised how late the post could be there. I know with being there package would be left outside on the doorstep to which I was so surprised. I order a lens once for my camera when I was there and it was let outside. Here letters are posted through the letterbox and if its a package and can't be put through the letterbox for being to big they will knock on the door. If you aren't in they will leave a note saying you either need to go and pick it up or they have left it next door. No I didn't to sign for it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh sorry yeah in the door where letters can be posted through. Yeah I know not many houses do them over there. It really different there to here the post and how it works. It was so much cheaper to post items then here.

@kevin1877uk When you say "letterbox" I suppose you refer to the box on your actual door? We don't really have those here. I know some houses do but they are used more for decoration now than anything. The mail carriers here will not leave a package next door unless we've specified they can. The more rural you get, the kinder the mailmen tends to be. I was living in a rural area once and the mail carrier would get out and go down our driveway (a semi long one) and put the package on our back porch. Actually when I was living there the mail arrived around 11 am to 1 pm. There was only two post offices in the County as well. Our electronics have to be signed for, and any official documentation, but other then that it's left to the elements.

@LadyDuck Lol yeah, I often look on Amazon first before going elsewhere.

@kevin1877uk Sometimes I prefer to order to Amazon than to go shopping, it's easier.

Yeah on the comments let on Amazon people were saying how fast they were at shipping. I paid £11.99 plus 0.95p postage/shipping

@kevin1877uk That sounds a very reasonable price to me. Hope you didn't mind me asking, as I may need one sometime in the future.

@jaboUK I saw many for sale, I read comments on how the batteries lasted and how people were happy. I'm happy so far and I'm going to put it in my laptop later, I'll write more on how long the battery is lasting.

No just replace the old battery with the new and is working well :)

I didn't really expect it today but it's nice to have a new battery which will last longer than my old battery.
