How are you spending the last day of 2015?
I am getting into the spirit of the holiday by going through my single sock drawer. Come on, you know you have one too. That's the place where I throw all of my socks that I can't find the match to. Most of them eventually find their mates, but some become perpetual occupants of the dreaded drawer.
Today, I am doing a purge. Any sock who is still single at the end of this exercise is going into the rag bin. In addition, I am getting rid of old, holy or stretched out socks. in the coming year, I am duly resolving to throw out any sock that is not up to snuff.

@norcal My socks seem to wander off. But my husband will go on a mission to find the missing sock if a single comes back from the laundry. So, I rarely have a single sock any more as I now hang them on the line in their pairs and try to make sure the pairs go into the washing machine at the same time.

There is a funny comedy skit about this very subject. Hope you get those socks mated or outed. Hehe

LOL! I have a bag that I keep single socks in. Where in the world does those extra socks go? I need to do a purge to. Even though for now I am at work. Hoping and praying that they'll let us off early. Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing!

That is a good idea. However, I am weeding my socks out as they wear out. After I mend them that is. lol sometimes I mend my husband's socks if he is throwing out a pair with only a small hole. I mend them and keep them for myself. At this rate I will never buy new socks as long as I live! My husband threatened to dump my drawer and buy me all new socks. I stopped him by showing him my socks that are still in the package.
Now I have to wear out my socks surreptitiously
I am weird. I know.

I recall President Bush confirming with his wife when needed to remove his shoes at a temple in Japan - "Are you sure there is no hole in the socks"? I visited a friend and was required to leave my shoes outside his home: my friend said - you can have your socks on, but I said no thanks, I like to remove that too! siva
