I Bought The Tickets

I hope everyone had a most wonderful New Years Day. I did. Earlier today I went to see my girlfriend for a couple of hours. We had a great visit.
When I got home my husband was on the phone to his sister in Oregon. I started dinner and listened to my husbands end of the conversation. Once I was done I asked my husband to let me talk to his sister. I got on the phone and after the niceties were over I asked her what was new. She told me that she was in the process of trying to convince my husband to take a trip to Oregon the middle of January. She told me she almost have him talked into it. So I told her as soon as I bought the tickets I would call her back. She starting screaming with excitement. I told her so there now wasn't that easy. It took all of 30 seconds before I told her I would get the tickets and we would be there.
Now I'm excited too. We are leaving out of Midway in Chicago on Jan. 14th and returning on Jan. 23rd. It's so great to be retired and able to go like this at a drop of a hat. We are going to have a great time with his sister.

@ScribbledAdNauseum She has like 2 weeks off in January so we are going there to spend it with her. It's her last vacation, she has to take it or lose it before she retires in September. She works for the US Postal Service.

I can't wait for the day when I can travel whenever and wherever I want to. I've never done much travelling but I'd really love to.

I mostly travel where I can drive. We even considered driving to Oregon but 2223 miles in the winter is not good. So we are flying. But the spur of the moment trips are fun.
