Time to Close out this Day

It's after 2 a.m. and I have had a good day on myLot. It was a great first day of the year, and I hope it will be followed by another 365 more days.
I started out the day by watching the Rose parade, a tradition since I was little, then on here myLotting the rest of the day.
I got caught up with my notifications and went to watch a movie. I woke to a song in my head and had to figure out not only the words but where I heard that tune. When I did, I put that movie in when notifications were finished - Annie - the original, and that ended, and still time on my hands, I was able to finish off a second round of notifications and hit the Explore link, not something I do very often because notifications usually take me until time to go to bed.
I've read some good posts today and I hope you all have a good rest of the year and I will see you all back here later.
Now it's time for me to put my shoes and coat on and go get my son from work and go to bed.
Thanks for reading.

@just4him I decide what I am going to work on, go clear that out, but don't refresh the page, I just open a new one, then swap what I am working on. I did get the back log cleared up from posts now. back to catching up on a day to day basis

@mommaj Right now I'd like to take a nap, but then I would't be awake to take my son to work, so might take one after I take him to work. I got up earlier than I wanted to this morning, and found I couldn't go back to bed because someone was coming over.

I rarely have the occasion where I could stay beyond bedtime to be in mylot, this is because I have to wake up early the next morning to help prepare breakfast for the entire family and leave for work. That being said, I'd like to point out that while your people at your part of the planet may be trying to recover from holiday spirits we are the opposite rushing to finish our for the Chinese New Year, likened to your Thanksgiving n Christmas pre holidays.

Preparations like decor, snacks and shopping had started since December last year to avoid the last minute rush. Also there were a number of orders for our homemade snacks like pineapple tarts, cashew crisp, walnut cookies and mini shrimp rolls - so we have been preparing and selling them out to neighbors, co-workers and even children's classmates as well.
Everyone chipped in to make out the orders in time, so now we are just taking a breather as the orders are being picked up or delivered. Presently preparations are underway for the family reunion feast and this year we are having my parents over for the grand dinner so nothing is left to chance.

Yes he does, second shift, and they vary his schedule so that he could start and quit almost any time. He told me this weekend he's working 9 PM to 5 AM. He hasn't done that in a long time. It will most likely be one of the last times he does those hours because he will be starting classes at college soon.
