Do you use Yelp? Do you judge a place based on the Yelp Reviews?

Do you use Yelp? If yes, do you judge the place you're interested in going to based on the reviews? For example, a food restaurant is rated an average of two stars - Would you skip that restaurant because the reviews are averaged out to be only 2 stars, Or would you give the restaurant a try? Why do I use Yelp? - It's a faster way to Google Map the location - If I am lost on food choices, I can see what is nearby (Or stores, places, wherever I want to go) - I could read through reviews to get an idea of the place but I won't judge it until I have tried it For me, even though a restaurant or wherever the location may be claims to be 1,2,3,4, or even 5 stars averaged - I won't judge based on people's opinions/ratings. I will keep their opinions in mind but I always have an open mind. For instance say the restaurant has 2 stars averaged, but how many people had great experience reviewed the place? Imagine how many people who do not Yelp, cannot express their positivity or even negativity. For me: I keep an open mind regardless of Yelp Ratings. And when I do give the place a try, I write my honest opinions. And, I have noticed many reviews where the reviewer has no other reviews, but is writing either a bad review or great review! What is your take?
