I had a sound, sweet sleep last night. When I got up in the morning,I was feeling fine.I didn't do any hard work since morning.Still I am feeling tired and irresistibly sleepy. Why,I don't know. Was Newton wrong? Can anything happen without a cause?Don't know.Friends, please, allow me to leave for bed.

Sometimes our bodies just need more down time.

@AbbyGreenhill,Perhaps you are right.May be the sleep I had had the previous night was not sufficient.

Sometimes it just happens like this. Be glad that it is not a working day or a schooling day. You will feel awful if you have to do mental sums when you are so tired.

@scheng1,Today I have experienced it for the first time in my life.Perhaps I needed a longer sleep last night.Yes,I was fortunate,it was Sunday lest I would have had a hard time working in my office.

I blamed it on my age till I read that it was natural. But if it was, why I never experienced it when I was younger? Possibly because I never got to sit in one place or had too many things on my hand, and too many fears..whatever. But the fact is, I have felt those moments. And it is not because of late nights.

@vandana7,Now when I am back after having slept for two hours,I wonder why I began feeling sleepy.Last night I had had a sound sleep that was sound enough to keep me jacked up at least till 11 p.m.Why then laziness suddenly got the better of me and why I was compelled to leave for bed?I have no answer.

@Jessicalynnt,I take exercise daily.Yesterday I was mentally tired. It was mental fatigue that compelled me to collapse on bed and fall asleep much before my usual time.
