Your Favorite Hideaway

When we want to relax and have a cool retreat during the weekend, we usually go up to Tagaytay City. There are other beautiful places in the Philippines but we frequent this place because this is the most accessible one. It is just an hour drive from home. The place has fine, cooler weather and restful ambiance.. There we would eat in any of the good restaurants along the ridge overlooking the Taal Lake where the smallest volcano in the world is located. This is a breathtaking sight. The first time I saw Taal Lake view I was deeply amazed. It was like a piece of heaven. Where do you go when you want to have a cool and relaxing day?

Actually i don't have to go far . I just stay inside our bedroom , where i can myLot or surf the net , watch TV , read or simply just lie down and listen to music while playing my favorite game on my phone . We have been to Tagaytay Highlands for twice already courtesy of a family friend who have a nice vacation house there . And i should say , i like it there more than Baguio .

Montreal has so much, so I could go to the mountain in the middle of the city and there is a lake on top of the mountain and a beautiful restaurant and I could see a large part of the city from the top.

That sounds lovely. We drive three house to our lake front cottage, it is always peaceful there except maybe the 4th of July when there are fireworks.

Bissone, on the Lake of Lugano @LadyDuck
Very nice place. I also like to go to a lake when we want a relaxing day. We are near two lakes, the Lake of Como (Italy) and the lake of Lugano (Switzerland). The photo is one I took this summer, it's the lake of Lugano.

I love the look of your favorite place. That is an awesome photo. With my husband we love to go anywhere there is a beach or a horse race. Two things we enjoy doing together. In the summer I camp with my sister and just love the Adirondack Mountains in New York State. Its so peaceful to camp by a beautiful river and sleep in a tent. (My husband wouldn't sleep in a tent - he prefers Hotels and room service.

I could not sleep in tent either, I would prefer a more comfortable room but I do love visiting beautiful camps with my husband as well. I think I will not enjoy much without my husband with me.

What a lovely picture! I can see how it would be your favorite place to go to and getaway. I guess my favorite place would be going to the beach where You can just relax and move in slow motion.

The beach never fails to enchant me too. It is just that the beaches are far from my home.

Yes we have been here but we can't refresh ourselves according to our wills as kids want to have their own place to hangout.

Right now, and I am not even joking, I go to my shower, I go and stand under it, with only cold water running, it is too hot here right now to go anywhere @salonga , even our coast is having a heat wave, it feels like there is nowhere cool to retreat to anymore. Taal lake sounds wonderful!

It sounds really hot in your place for you to do that. Is it always hot there? Do you have 4 seasons too?

@salonga , yes we have four seasons here, and now it is summer, and it is a heat wave and they are saying the hottest summer ever, so it is a tough time, I always loved summer, but now, I cannot wait for autumn to begin!

@salonga There are some nice trails around here. Today, a kid and I went on one that's paved, since it's been raining.

You are lucky enough that beach is very accessible to you. We do go to beach only during summertime because it is quite far from home. It is a great getaway though, the ocean has a lot to offer.

If you live in the North, Baguio is a very ideal place to take vacation. I've been there a number of times but takes around 7 hour travel our place.

here in my place, there are many sites to go; however, there are so many residents here, that it is always a boom wherever we go. i would rather just stay at home and have a relaxing day by watching DVD films.
