Fairy House Crafting

I recently started making fairy houses. I had no clue they were so popular in certain circles. Down side is I can't walk to my mailbox without seeing a oddly shaped stick or rock and imagine it as some enchanted footstool or table for my fairy community. Upside, it has really jump started a otherwise stagnant artistic outlook as of late. Are there any craters out there with tips or suggestions? Feel free to share your ideas.

I love whimsy. I love to use odd things like metal bed frames in gardens.

It becomes downright addictive! I honestly am becoming a hoarder of sticks and acorn tops. But I have a elaborate community planned.I spent all of last night cutting pine cones up for shingles. The biggest challenge at this point is the roofs and floors. They are driving me absolutely nuts.

@Jot2me Oh my your description and plans intrigue me. I like to add zen gardens and rock falls to our landscapes. Now that we have three acres I find the idea of thinking about an over all plan to be daunting. Just weeding the back in the warmer months gets to be too much. I'm learning to allow some of it to just be.

@sallypup I love the idea of zen gardens! I think they would make a perfect addition to the corner of a fairy garden. I have plans for gazebos and the like. I made some Chinese lanterns from marbles and acorn tops strung on a hemp cord. It will look pretty cool in a tree.
