Wiping Your Feet When Entering a Public Place

Especially with the current weather we're having, I find myself on the job working with a mop. There are always a few people who come in from the outdoors and apologize for messing up my work. These people almost always stamp the snow and slush off their boots at the door and scrape off what they can on the provided grates. I do this by habit myself.
There are others who leave a trail from the door to the counter lobby, then to the bathroom, back to the counter and finally to their seat where a large gritty puddle develops. These people provide me with a great deal of job security. They never say boo to me.
What type of person are you or does this even cross your mind when you're out in public?

Having to do the clean up has this way of making one aware of how much trouble it causes.

@koopharper I even dry the sink in the public toilets, but nobody takes the time to do this.

I'm sure they'd find me something else to do. Seriously there is a family that visits regularly and they barely leave finger prints for me to wipe up.

For me snow is something out of a postcard so I don“t have that problem
We do have problems with wet shoes when it is rainy in Winer though.

Weather today is more wet than snowy here. I'm hoping for the temperature to drop just enough that I can cut firewood without it getting all wet.

I am a good foot wiper, and apologise if I have to walk on someone's newly mopped floor
