Raining cats and dogs in Southern Arizona

I haven't seen it rain this hard since last Monsoon. It's rained a few times in the past weeks but not this much. The streets are starting to be awash as the storm drains fill, and some folks go to fast and put a huge white plume of water over you as you try to drive. I definitely had to be on the ball today as I came back from my few hours of weekend overtime. (January is our busiest month, gotta love that time and a half!) I'm glad I'm not up in Flagstaff, they're getting a bunch of snow! It's pretty nice to be back home, looking out at the deluge.

I'm glad you are finding a way to earn more money. I hate it when another driver basically splashes a car wash onto me. Those moments of not being able to see are quite frightening.

@Rohvannyn Not that long this happened to me. Our roads are not wide and it was this side of being icy. I was glad that I had just had the wipers replaced.

I hear you there! Luckily, the roads are wide, there aren't embankments, and drivers maintain some level of separation in these conditions, so I can usually just set the wipers to high and steer a straight course. It can be sphincter-tightening, though.

It is like in the Phoenix area when it rains like that our street system is not set up for that so everything gets swamped and is water logged. I bet the Snow Bowl up in Flag is happy, that means they will have lots of people coming up to ski there. Glad to hear you are inside now and not out in the deluge.

It's nice to hear what it's like in Phoenix... I don't spend much time up there.

Oh no, they said rain here starting tonite into Sunday. I hope I heard it wrong, was taking my grandson to school, dealing with traffic and planning my day when AccuWeather gave the forecast. Please, please not rain ALL weekend.

I like Flagstaff. It reminds me of mountain towns further North.

oh, I would prefer the snow. Time and a half sounds great when you enjoy your job!

Then they have raffle drawings and free food and stuff too. January is tough but it can be kind of cool, too.
