Groceries Done

Finally I got the groceries taken care of. I didn't get a lot, but it is enough to get us through a little while. I also used what was on my FoodShare card, so that really helped. I had four months saved on it. That's not a lot when you consider it's only $16 a month, but it took the better part of the grocery bill, which was good. I also got the window film so we can get the windows taken care of and cut the draft in half. And since I haven't been able to find my gloves yet, I got two pair for a buck fifty. Not bad when I saw some that were $14 and $19 a pair. So that was the last couple hours. How has your day gone so far? Thanks for reading.

I got a couple of loads of laundry done and not only rediscovered the floor in the kids' room but vacuumed it, too. Naturally they're taking advantage of all the open space to get every single toy we put away back out now.

@just4him No kidding! I'm to the point where I'm going to start removing things if they can't keep them off the floor. I bet they won't even miss them...

@yukimori Don't count on it. I threw out first edition Star Wars figures when my son was little and he wouldn't keep his toys picked up. He keeps reminding me about it every now and then.

I was at work until four pm and when I made it home. My husband was grilling hot dogs on the grill. He grills even in snow storms.

Glad you got your groceries done. I spent quite a bit of the day at the hospital as my husband had an appointment.

I went out with a friend who took me to lunch and now have dinner waiting when my sister comes in from work (except for cooking the spaghetti noodles) rainy late afternoon and so glad I got home before it started

It is work as usual for me. Lots of reports, paperwork, and some crisis averted and handled. It is hard to go back to work immediately after the holidays. I am looking forward to the weekends and just get more sleep.

I went out grocery shopping at Target to get some of the basics that I need. We also went out to lunch and it was yummy.

I have taken down all the decorations, I always wait the day after the Epiphany to do this, but I am glad that now everything is back in the boxes until the end of the year.

the cupboards were bare here too, I stopped and grabbed some food yesterday. Spent a lot of money, don't have many groceries still, prices are so high. bummer.
