With the New Year just behind us, the focus for the last couple of weeks has been on all of this year's resolutions and goals. But, in addition to making plans for 2016, have any of you taken the time to review everything you wanted to accomplish in 2015? I sat down over the past week and reviewed all my goals for 2015, to see how much success I had in accomplishing them. I had 13 goals written down last year, and after review, I determined that I completed 11 of them! The other two weren't necessary failures, because I did make substantial headway in achieving them. So, all in all, I pretty much accomplished what I set out to accomplish in 2015. Although I do have a handful of goals already written for this year, I am still in the process of getting everything finalized for 2016. How did you do in 2015? Did you accomplish what you set out to accomplish? Were there any setbacks, or did you far exceed what you had thought you were capable of accomplishing?

The year 2015 has not been the best, my husband has plenty of health problems, I also had some minor problem and ended the year hitting a knee that it is still painful. I am glad it's over.

My 2015 was less than perfect as well. I hit a few roadblocks with my health as well, and ended up spending a fortune on medical bills. Although it didn't derail my financial goals, it sure put a hurting on them! I'm hoping to rebound in 2016 with better health and better finances!

@moffittjc Well, we have to pay a medical insurance anyway even we are not sick, but then the medical expenses are all covered by the insurance. At leas on the financial side, we did not spend a fortune in medical bills and doctors.

@LadyDuck My medical bills could have been much worse! Thankfully, I have very good insurance. I recently got my bill for my hospital stay, and the one day I was in the hospital cost $52,000 US. But the only thing I had to pay out of pocket was $140. My insurance covered the rest. Thank goodness for insurance!

Good on you for all of your achievements! My 2015 was ok. I was able to finally take a HUGE step enrolling and starting a Beauty Therapy course but it all went down hill went I got myself out of it. Depression kicked in and I dropped out. So.....almost....but not good enough. Will see what I can do this year.

There really is no point in setting goals if you don't review them from time to time. Many thing changed for over the past year. I have had to change many different areas of my life. So many of my goals changed through out the year. I have met some of my goals and some I have made a lot of progress in so I am happy with my performance over the last year.

I look at goals as a roadmap, not something set in stone. I constantly review my goals throughout the year, and adjust them as necessary. As long as I'm still headed in the right direction, I know that I am well on my way to reaching my destination! Due to a tough year in 2015, several of my goals from last year are now carrying over to 2016. It's definitely been an interesting journey, but one that is much more fun to enjoy knowing I have a roadmap!

@moffittjc Funny after reading this I went back and looked at everything. I realized that I did a lot more than I thought I had even though things were changing for me all the time. It made me really think about what I really wanted for the up and coming year. I thank-you for that.
