Do you contradict yourself here?

I was reading a comment that @GardenGerty left on @MysDianait 's discussion. She said that she has seen a lot of people contradict themselves within the comment section.
Honstly? It had me thinking. Over my past few discussions, I felt as if I have contradicted myself from one comment to the other. Not intentionally, and I am definitely not lying from comment to comment.
I suppose you could say that I find myself agreeing with, and thinking more on, a person's comment. It might mean that I contradict myself a bit from the previous comment.
Do you find that you are contradicting yourself, albeit unintentionally here?

This could be the case. There are many probably reasons.

@ScribbledAdNauseum if only the future could give us a clue once in a while we wouldn't embarrass ourselves

You are right, we are speaking in the present, and sometime the future contradicts us.

I do not notice too much things like you are describing. It was a specific person that could not own up to what she said originally. I think, like you, I would tend to try to agree with people on my discussion unless they were just blatantly out there. I do not ever want people to be afraid of having me jump down their throat. I think the people who deserve it would never notice it if I did. It also could be that the thing I was talking about just struck me wrong. Glad to inspire your discussion.

Some people here don't let their real personlity and beliefs show through so they write something just to agree with the original post. Then on another post, in order to agree they have to say the opposite. They probably think that no-one really reads anything. How wrong they are because some of us read a lot and only when people are real is it possinle to create true friendships. We don't have to agree with everyone in order to be real either. I admire many because they stick up for what they believe in even though I don't always agree with them.
If I contradict myself here it is the fault of a typo

Hello there! I haven't seen you in awhile. You are right, it's better to be open to new ideas and opinions. That's probably why I am always contradicting myself!

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yah, been busy with the holidays and the kids being off from school - I'll be here regularly "eventually". I should say too - being open this way probably makes us more "agreeable" - even if it contradicts our original thought. Believe me, my train of thought is always all over the place and isn't always on track. It helps to be flexible to avoid collisions and derailment

I see things from more than one angle so I may comment on one aspect of an issue in one place and on another aspect of the same issue in another place. I don't see that as contradicting myself. In a face to face conversation it would be easier to make myself clear I think.

Lol!! I am best described paradoxical! Complex things may have different aspects to it, if taken out of context could appear contradictional. However that does not mean it is so, example: the moon could be red, blue, yellow, milky, and green depending on the atmosphere conditions. But if I was to say "the moon is red" then "the moon is green", it would appear to be in contradiction, no?

I am always saying one thing here, and then apparently an opposite thing in another comment. I agree with you, we don't do it intentionally, we only take into consideration other viewpoints and think on it. Doesn't necessarily mean we believe both things.

I have not thought about it before so I don't know if I do. But, I am only human and it is human to make mistakes.
