Walking Dogs

Well I did it, I went out to walk the dogs, or dog, Rosco dont need a leash but Harley still will take off in the bushes. I took my Summer loving flipflop short sleeve short pants wearing butt outside in this cold windy weather to walk dogs. First I put on a thick t-shirt and a pair of sweat pants for the comfort, then I added a flannel shirt, next was a hoodie jacket. Then I put a tobogan on and over my ears. I raised the hoodie up and over the top, I tightened it real tight. I put on thick socks and my favorite running shoes and faced the cold wind. The first couple of laps was very hard because after a couple minutes I could feel my face freezing and my nose was runny, well that little round section that was not covered and one hand was cold. By time we had done five laps my hands was warm and I no longer felt my face. After thirty minutes I told the dogs I had food for them so the directed me back into the fenced in backyard. Next time I will borrow one of Tony`s face masks that he used for hunting, my face hurts. But one the bright side I got my daily exercise in :)

I live in Alabama, I reckon you are used to the cold, right?

Cover everything, even your eyes. They make goggles for them. Breathing super cold air isn't good for your lungs. So be sure to cover your nose and mouth. When you exhale, it will warm the area so the air you inhale will be warmer. Isn't it odd that someone who lives in a warm climate knows all this stuff?

@andriaperry You can walk in the cold with asthma? Impressive. I cannot. Sometimes I go out to walk and realize my breathing is becoming difficult and I have to rush back home.

So cold in your place! Are your dogs wearing comfortable clothes too to keep them warm? Just curious.
