Have you gone to the used tire place yet and if so do they have any good used tires.

I got new tires last year and I think I will be good for at least 2 more winters if I am careful. It is very expensive but very needed for safety. That is why even though I still have life on my tires I am already putting away a little here and there specifically for new tires when the need arises.

In my area in more that I have to go up a hill that never plowed plus my land lord does not shovel right away I got to park in the grass and he forget to shovel that part if I had AWD or 4 wheel drive no problem . This is the first year I just have 2 wheel drive front wheel drive. I think if I had snow tires on it when the snow came I would Have no problem . Right now my area rally has not got the snow is suppose to get but me I like to get head of the game.
