Spoiler alerts – Season 2 – Episode 1
A very conscious sense of a series changing direction and upping its own ante, with several hardline villains escaping from Arkham to cause mayhem over the season and an increasing air of madness and desperation. Only Cobblepot – The Penguin, seems in control here.
Jim Gordon, the hero, is shockingly reduced to killing a man as he ends up becoming Cobblepot’s errand boy in a very dangerous deal to get his job back, while his lover’s girlfriend vows vengeance even before her asylum break.
Bruce Wayne is desperate enough to get into his secret room that he risks blowing up his own mansion, and almost loses his mind entirely though we get just another teaser in the form of a letter and a further choice, though we know which way he is going to go.
Strong stuff with great story-telling and comic book gore as a gas-injected villain convinced he is God erupts in Arkham, and a henchman plays ventriloquism with a severed human head. It’s going to be an interesting and very violent season. I look forward to it immensely.

I think this is such a cool idea. A look at these characters when they were young. This particular episode sounds interesting.

@celticeagle it is a great episode though the story is continuous so I'd advise starting at the beginning of season one

they are sure running out of new DC series to produce out there. it's the same thing over and over like that arrow series. what's even more frustrating with that series brandom routh who i know popular with the superman returns turns into antman?! that's just crazy. well, not sure if gotham is available in my country, but not sure how good this is.

@jstory07 TV series rather than a movie - about Gotham 20 years before Bruce Wayne turns into Batman so mainly about Jim Gordon trying to keep the city under control without the hero
