Blocks of life

In the ongoing process of finding money under rocks, I found these gems in the garage to cell. I don't know if they will sell, but I am going to try. I used to love legos, not this size of course, the little ones. I totally love legos. I would love to have and build and play with them now, sadly they are expensive, and that is so far out of the budget it might as well be resting on the moon right now. I do have some great memories of building things. My sister and I would get a couple of sets for Christmas each year, we would build whatever they were for once, and then take them apart, adding all of the bits and pieces to our collection. Then we'd make whatever we wanted. I remember building big buildings, and amusement parts and all kinds of things that there were no sets for. There was a draw back...stepping on the darn things. There is little pain worse than stepping on a lego barefoot, am I right? **I have a photo for this but it errors and wont upload, no idea why

Good luck selling them. I have quiet a large bin full I have collected from yard sales for when kids visit. I do the LEGO mystery shops when I can and buy them for gifts for the grandkids. They are expensive.

I would think you would have no problem selling your leggo set as they are still in high demand. Why don't you try on Craigslist and see if you can sell them in your area then you wouldn't have any shipping cost.

I feel pain and sadness. Why do we have to face such situations in life wherein we have to part with things that are so close to us... The memories....

well I am not upset about getting rid of these, if they were the smaller size I would be, since these are toddler sized not so much, I never have a reason to pull them out.

Check on Ebay but I would guess they won't be worh the effort. You might want to try Facebook's yard sale groups.

Yes, ouch, multiple times. My grandson and granddaughter love them, but it cost me a fortune! I can't believe how costly they are now.

I read that lego is a better investment than gold : 12% per year. I regret to have sold mines long ago. You can perhaps keep a part of yours ? It would be too sad to have to sold all of them if you still enjoy to play.

When we were little, we were dying to have those. But back then money was tight and our parents won't budge to buy us toys like that. We have to content with whatever they can find at a cheapest price and we must be thankful of it. Now that we're older and can afford it, our interest faded. But we have much younger siblings that have these and so we experienced building stuff out of it. It was still fun but u think it wouldn't be as much fun as when we were kids.

I don't think our son ever constructed what the Lego was for, but always did more creative things.

Pity your photo didn't load but most of us know what lego looks like. There was nothing like lego when I was a child, but my own children had a lot of fun with it.

I bought my son legos when he was young and can't believe how expensive they are now. It's ridiculous.

My boys played with lego every day of the year right through their childhood. Like you, they built something once then added the bits to their collection.

My oldest son had a space set of legos and he passed them on to his children and they were passed on to the great grand children.

Steeping on Legos is no fun. Lincoln Logs aren't so bad--if they don't roll.
