I love chili night. I typically make a big pot so it will last for a couple of days. It's one of those dishes that taste so good left over. I love it meaty so I typically use a couple of pounds of ground meat add some onions, petite diced tomatoes, a couple of cans of pinto beans, and a packet of chili seasoning. It's easy to make and oh so good. I usually eat a couple of crackers with it and sprinkle some shredded sharp cheddar cheese on the top. If I am feeling real adventurous I might add a few Fritos Corn Chips and diced raw onion. Do you like chili? Is it a family favorite?

Woot a nice bowl of chilli is a nice treat especially during the cold winter evenings. I also make a big pot and my husband also likes it meaty - I think most guys do! I usually have it with some sliced avocado (too lazy to make a guacamole), grated cheese, fresh tomatoes, lettuce and wrap in a tortilla or eat with some corn tortillas! Yum!

@HazySue It must be this topic but I just made a batch of chilli con carne yesterday and bought the "extras" - tortilla wraps, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, avocados, cheese. Yum! :D

We will enjoy chili a few times a year during a cold winter, but we've only had it about once this year. We are eating differently because its not as cold a winter as usual. Enjoy your chili.

@Juliaacv I haven't eaten this year yet either. It has been too warm. I just couldn't wait for the cold.

Yes, here it is a family favorite and we all think that it tastes better after a few days.

@marlina I have found that most things that are made with tomatoes taste better a few days later. The flavor seems to settle in.

I don't like chilli at all - it's too hot for me.

@jaboUK I get a mild chili seasoning. If I had to use the hot I wouldn't be able to eat it either.
