Or just take it as a suggestion. There is an orange chicken recipe going around on FaceBook that is really easy. Basically it is an easy orange sauce you are to put over chicken nuggets or other breaded chicken. I do not do breaded. I got some boneless skinless thighs and cut into large pieces. Here is the basic sauce--1 C. orange marmalade, 1 C barbecue sauce, 2T soy sauce. Heat all together and pour over the chicken, serve with noodles or rice. It gave some seasoning suggestions, like red pepper flakes--I put in a pinch of those. I also added two large garlic cloves, chopped, and some candied ginger. After pouring the sauce over the chicken I thinly sliced two mandarin oranges. I heated them through in the sauce. We ate this over brown rice. We found it a bit sweet and bland so we added a few drops of hot sauce to our dishes. It was an easy idea, but I will do something different to it next time. It did take care of the cravings for Chinese food. Do you follow recipes, or do your own thing? Do you end up with left overs, I do. I put them all in my freezer for lunches.

We like to consider a recipe a suggestion.

I usually tend to follow recipes, sometimes I will tweak a few things in a recipe if I have made it in the past.

Most of the time I try to follow it pretty closely the first time, but in this case I know we like pepper and ginger and garlic, so we did it that way.

I did a recipe that I got off a blogging site and it looked good in her picture and when I made it but let me tell you, that was the bland, plain and yuck I had cooked in a long time. No I did not tell the lady that but it was not good, needed some seasoning.
