Just one note.Today MLK day.Still need some fixing. They came long way. with television series, musical theater, but they are not happy with Hollywood. No black actor has been nominated.Spike Lee and Jada Pinkest Smith will be protesting.I did not see Will Smith on his fine acting work in Concussion. It had not played here yet. They thought that he was a shoo in. the only black actor will be Chris Rock. This should be very interesting. Not sure who were the other that should have got nominated. What are your take on the All white oscar show?

If I remember well the year 2014 the black actress Lupita Nyong'o won the Oscar. Some years there are black actors and other years there are not, this is not discrimination.

@amadeo Now, everything turns in discrimination and racism, this is ridiculous.

It is true. There have been years where there have some blacks. I think sometimes people will overreact over nothing, rightly or wrongly.

I think today most movies still choose many white actors and actresses as the main characters. And therefore the white actors and actresses will have more chances to participate in the Oscars than the black ones.

As much as I can understand their point of view, I thought that the people were nominated based on their work and performance, and not so much on their skin colour. I'm not saying there should be a balance, but perhaps those involved with the nominations chose the individuals who they felt merited to be nominated. Just a thought.

I dont look at things in black or white or blue and green. If an " actor or actress" deserves the spot then so be it. People make to much over who is what color.
