The World's First Photo

I remember reading about this before. The world's first photographic still survives today. It was taken by Joseph Niepce at his home in France. I am almost certain I once read about a contender (another photograph that may be older yet) but I haven't found that information again yet. Wow! Early 1800's. I thought the first would have been later. It is pretty interesting. And cool that it still exists.

I love when I uncover little "gems" that you would think would be destroyed but AREN'T! I'm glad they have it in a environment where it can survive for generations to come.

@ScribbledAdNauseum ....Yes, knowing how to store things is very important. I would feel excited about finding something thought to have been destroyed too.
