If you found a wallet...

Twice last year a homeless man found wallets containing good sums of money. One had nearly $400 and the other $200. Both times he flagged down a police car and gave the officer the wallets. I'll be very honest and say that I probably would have kept the money but put the wallet in a mailbox so the person would get his important IDs back. So let me have it, I can take it!

being homeless I would have been tempted to do exactly that, take the money but get it returned to the person who lost it. Can you put a wallet in the mail?

Yes, the postmaster will contact owner, as long as there is ID. In the wallet. Keys with and address on them, you can do the same thing.

When we handed over the wallet to owner and if there any second owner comes. It will make problems. To put in a mail box or give it in the nearest police station is safe way.

Yes, last thing you want is a fight over the wallet.

We always have many daydreaming about money. It is common to say that I will keep a wallet. But when you really find a wallet, it is likely that you will try to contact the one who lost it. When it really happens to you, you will realize that actually you are not so greedy.

Yes, I think you're bad If I found loose money I'd keep it but if it was in a wallet I'd hand it in. Fair play to the homeless man, hope he got a reward
