Could you say that ONCE more?

I can not hear! With the snow coming in, I'm going to be picking up a few staples for food prep over the next few days. My niece is most likely going to be here through atleast Friday. So I went ahead and asked her what she wanted me to get her. "Lots of Rolls." That is what I heard anyway. She was saying LUNCHABLES. I had to ask her three times and by the third she was pointing towards the kitchen! I am sure had I asked once more she would have rolled her eyes at me! Please tell me I am not the only one who gets these little embarassing moments!

That would be more fun, but perhaps not in the house.

Yes, and it is SOOO frustrating. It usually happens on the TV. A phrase that I can't hear. If I have taped I will play it back several times and still can't make it out.

Atleast with the t.v. you don't have to feel embarrassed for "asking" again!

I get to the point where I just agree and then try to figure out what they might have said.

That would make no sense to me as I don't know what 'lunchables' is supposed to mean.

Mishearing or defect of hearing?

24 Jan 16
Probably more of a defect. I need to go to an ENT (ear, nose, throat doctor).
