Sweet"N Low in Brooklyn will end it's production there but it will go to another part of the County even though this is where it was first created.
It is a shame after 60 years it will no longer will produced there althought it's headquarters will stay in Brooklyn.
The employees were shocked when the announcement was made.
Their Union had been in contract negotations for months but the closure was never mentioned.
The company is committed to helping employees find new jobs and is talking to the union about it.

I had heard this a few days back but just that it was stopping production and not what company. That is good to hear that they are helping employees.

That is sad. I'm glad i'm in a company that will always be open and not in fear of losing my job. I think the only time i would lose my job is if i did something to get myself fired or didn't do the job as i was told. But i been there 10 years now so i am good. I hope these employees can seek a job elsewhere.

@VivaLaDani13 It is always sad when you hear about companies moving or closing down but it is good that the company will try to help the employees find other jobs.
